Netflix drops subscription costs in Nepal

Netflix has recently decreased the prices of its subscription plans in Nepal and over 30 other countries, leading to reduced rates for all plans, from basic to premium. This strategy aims to expand Netflix’s presence in newer markets as the platform is facing saturation in its home markets.

The decision to decrease subscription costs was influenced by a lower-than-expected number of subscribers, which could impact the company’s position in the increasingly competitive over-the-top (OTT) industry. Netflix confirmed that it took this measure to combat the current living costs crisis and remain competitive in the market.
